Eastern Time Takes the Podium at the CSI Young Professionals networking event

Eastern Time sent 3 representatives to attend the April networking event for the Young Professional groups of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chapter of the Construction Specifiers Institute (GLVC CSI) and the Eastern PA Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

The event took place April 5th at Lehigh Valley Grand Prix, 649 S 10th St, Allentown, PA, 18103, US. Each company was assigned a team of 3 to 4 individuals to race and see who was the fastest company in the Valley. Representing Eastern Time were Sales & Marketing Specialist-Megan Povenski, Sales Manager & Vice President-Marc Rizzo, and Construction Department Manager & Vice President-Bryan Rizzo, who along with their father Chuck are partners in ownership of Eastern Time Inc.

After some time to network over pizza and wings provided by LV Grand Prix, it was time to take the track. The race was divided into 3 heats, with the fastest lap times being the deciding factor of who would take home the medals. Megan won the first heat against 6 other individuals representing various companies throughout the Lehigh Valley with the fastest lap time of 34.609. Marc and Bryan both raced in the third heat, where Bryan came out the victor with a fastest lap time of 33.401 over Marc’s 34.668.

Eastern Time came out of the evening with the top 3 fastest individual lap times, as well as the overall fastest average lap time for the team event, giving us bragging rights and the domination of the podium. Overall this was a successful evening both on and off the track. CSI & AIA are fantastic organizations to be a part of and the opportunity to network with other industry professionals in the Lehigh Valley is always a winning endeavor.

2016 Easton Phillipsburg Golf Classic at Morgan Hill

ETI is always happy to sponsor the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce at it’s annual golf outings.  This year it was a cold/rainy afternoon for the 2016 Easton Phillipsburg Golf Classic at Morgan Hill Golf Course.  That didn’t stop Bryan Rizzo and Chad Sportelli from putting up a -6 score, only losing to the champions by 2 strokes.  Sportelli being an avid golfer had multiple birdies and an eagle.  Both Chad and Bryan will be participating in the upcoming Krajsa Cup and Walla Gazoo Chamber events, so stay tuned.

2016 Lenel Security Conference

The 2016 Lenel Partner Summit in Carlsbad, California gave Chuck and Bryan the chance to stay up to date on upcoming changes in the  global security market and Lenel’s security portfolio.  ETI utilizes Lenel’s industry leading OnGuard Enterprise Level  Access Control and Interlogix CCTV surveillance platform to secure the casino, manufacturing, hospital and office markets.

The two reoccurring themes throughout the conference that both ETI and Lenel will be focusing on in the upcoming year are, utilizing cloud based technology and harnessing the true power of our mobile devices.  The three main drivers of the “cloud and mobile technology push” not only in the security industry but in all industries come from;

  1. Cyber security risks
  2. A constantly evolving IT industry
  3. Need to stay connected

Lenel also unveiled a product slated for release Q4 2016 that will give ETI the ability to seamlessly take over existing Software House access control system installations with a Mercury Bridge Board.  More to come on this exciting news as it will give current Software House customers an opportunity to break from the proprietary nature of this Tyco product.
